How long does the collection of my stairlift take after accepting the offer?
After you accept our offer, we will arrange a suitable collection date with you. The timing depends on your location, the stairlift and our removal team’s availability, which we will confirm before collection.
Collection is arranged after you accept our offer, with the date agreed to suit you and confirmed by our removal team. The exact timing depends on your location, the type and condition of the stairlift, access to the property and team availability, so we do not promise a standard collection period before checking the practical details.
Once you accept the offer, we will confirm the information needed to arrange removal, including:
- the stairlift’s location and whether it is straight, curved or outdoor;
- whether the lift is still installed and operational;
- any access restrictions, parking arrangements or property entry requirements;
- whether more than one person or additional equipment may be needed for safe removal; and
- your preferred dates or any deadline by which the stairlift needs to be collected.
We will then agree a suitable appointment with you. Please wait for this confirmation before making arrangements for the stairlift to be removed, as uninstalling it yourself can affect its condition and may make safe collection more difficult. Our removal team will assess the installation on arrival, disconnect the stairlift safely and remove the relevant components from the property.
The collection may take longer to arrange if the stairlift is a complex curved model, is installed outdoors, is difficult to access or needs specialist handling. Delays can also occur where parking is restricted, the property is unoccupied, access details have changed or the stairlift cannot be reached safely. Telling us about these points when accepting the offer helps us plan the visit accurately.
Before collection, please ensure that the agreed access route is clear and that someone authorised to provide access is available unless alternative arrangements have been confirmed. Keep any relevant keys, entry instructions, remote controls and paperwork available, and tell us promptly if the stairlift develops a fault or if you need to change the appointment.
Payment arrangements will be confirmed as part of the sale and collection process. If the condition or completeness of the stairlift differs materially from the information provided during valuation, the team may need to review the offer before removal is completed. Any change will be discussed with you rather than assumed.
If you have accepted the offer but have not yet received a proposed collection date, or if your circumstances have changed, contact us so we can check the status of the arrangement and update the removal instructions.
The time needed to arrange stairlift collection depends largely on the installation and access arrangements, not just on when you accept the offer. Straight indoor stairlifts are often simpler to remove, while curved or outdoor models may require more planning and specialist handling.
When arranging the appointment, please tell us about narrow entrances, restricted parking, steps outside the property, shared access or any other potential obstacle. Providing accurate details in advance helps our removal team bring the appropriate equipment and reduces the risk of delays on the agreed collection date.
